Rice Husk Blue Finish: Named after the special process which incorporates rice husks as a key component in the patina, this finish is characterized by a mottled blue and dark brown pattern. Not food safe! This patina is sealed with a clear, matte lacquer.

Each bowl from Ban Pa Ao is crafted by hand, with no use of molds or modern technologies. Your bowl will undoubtedly look different than the one pictured. The ancient techniques result in beautifully imperfect castings that show the hand of the maker and the natural materials involved in the process. The rice husk patina comes out different every time - please see photos for potential color variations!
