In early 2020, just before the world shutdown due to the Covid pandemic, Pat Kim and I traveled to Ban Pa Ao village in Northeastern Thailand to learn their unique and ancient brass casting techniques. This collection of bells represents the fruits of that exchange. Incorporating the unique lost-wax coiling technique native to this village, Pat's bell designs manifest his language of shapes while also paying homage to the traditional Buddhist bells that have been crafted in Ban Pa Ao for over six generations. The Ban Pa Ao Brassware collection was featured in Conde Nast Traveller, Architectural Digest, and Elle Decor.
